Record High Gas Prices

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. consumers could pay record gasoline prices for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday with pump costs expected to climb another 20 cents over the next two to three weeks, the government's top energy forecaster warned on Monday.

Guy Caruso, who heads the U.S. Energy Information Administration, said not all of the recent jump in crude oil prices has been reflected in motor fuel costs which now top $3 a gallon in many parts of the country, about 80 cents more than a year ago.

"We haven't seen the full pass-through (of high oil prices) yet," Caruso told reporters at a briefing on oil market conditions held at Energy Department headquarters. "I would say what's in the pipe right now (for gasoline) is about another 20 cents."

The national average retail pump price has already jumped by 25 cents since mid-October, reflecting soaring crude oil costs, which for U.S. oil hit a record $98.62 a barrel last week.

For Earth representatives, you have the answer and the opportunity. This is your peaking interest script for Thanksgiving: "If the projected gasoline price materializes it would be the most consumers have ever paid to fill up at Thanksgiving and could break the all-time high of $3.22 a gallon set last May."

PLAYA DEL RACING'S INDYCAR TO BE FEATURED AT ECOTREK EXHIBIT AT SEMA SHOW
Playa Del Racing drivers will sign autographs each day of the SEMA Show
INDIANAPOLIS - One of Playa Del Racing's Indy cars will be a featured attraction at the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association show in Las Vegas from Oct. 30 through Nov. 2. PDR drivers Al Unser III and Maryeve Dufault will sign autographs each day at the EcoTrek booth from 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
The SEMA show is the premier stage for innovative thinking in the automotive aftermarket industry.

"I can't wait to be a part of this event with EcoTrek and Ethos forEARTH," says Al Unser III, driver of the Playa Del Racing/Ethos forEARTH car No.21 in the Indy Pro Series. "SEMA week is a great event, and EcoTrek has some amazing products that show renewable fuels as capable of both superior performance and conservation."

EcoTrek is a non-profit organization that promotes education of and research into the expanded uses of viable renewable energy. PDR will be teaming up with EcoTrek and Ethos Fuel Reformulator to help raise the awareness of the general public about renewable fuel, and environmentally safe products.

"Working with EcoTrek gives us the opportunity to showcase the product that we believe in so deeply at Ethos forEARTH," says Dan Atkinson, CEO of Ethos forEARTH. "The SEMA show is the premier gathering of some of the greatest minds in the automotive and aftermarket industry. We are proud to be a part of it."

PDR is always working to get the word out about renewable energy. Adkins Energy, an ethanol producer located in Lena, Ill., signed as a sponsor with PDR in 2007 to help promote the benefits of ethanol and other renewable fuels.

"Adkins energy is a small town operation with big town ambitions," says Ron Fluegel, board member with Adkins Energy. "We are proud to be a part of Playa Del Racing, and even more proud to be associated with a league that is utilizing 100% ethanol fuel."

The SEMA show will be the first major event of the off-season for PDR, and its drivers.

"We are partnering with EcoTrek, Adkins Energy, and Ethos forEARTH not only because it's a great business opportunity for PDR, but also because these independent organizations are each singularly focused on saving our environment," says Susan Schafer, co-owner of PDR. "Ethos Fuel Reformulator is an amazing product that provides great benefits to those who use it and to our environment, and we are so proud to be associated with Tom Holm and EcoTrek."

EcoTrek is without peer in bringing the message of the benefits of renewable fuels to the American public through its television shows and public appearances. The SEMA show will give PDR a chance to show off its IndyCar Series Panoz chassis with a new green paint scheme and Ethos forEARTH sponsorship. The IndyCar Series is powered by 100% ethanol, which is a renewable fuel made from corn.

"Our goal in bringing our IndyCar to SEMA is to assist EcoTrek and Ethos forEarth to get the message to the world that renewable fuel can provide superior performance while mitigating negative impact on our world." says Gary Sallee, co-owner of PDR. "Our Indy cars can go 225mph at Indy using ethanol, and it's important for Americans to know that their passenger cars can run on ethanol and other renewable fuels as well."

PDR drivers Al Unser III and Maryeve Dufault will be available to sign autographs each day of the convention in the EcoTrek booth located in the South Hall. You can get more information on Playa Del Racing or Al Unser III by visiting playadelracing.com.

Gas Prices Climbing!!!

Did you hear the latest news on gasoline prices? What would you say if I could show you a product made by a publicly traded company that is guaranteed to save consumers up to 19% on their gasoline while reducing emissions up to 30%? The product is just being introduced in our City and I am working directly with the individual that is leading the National Expansion for this company. She is very busy but I told her a little about you and she wants to speak with you. A 10 minute call with her and you will be as excited as I am. What is your schedule later today or I can try and reach her now. This is happening right now!
Crude oil is at record highs and briefly hit $90 a barrel Thursday.
If prices stay high, experts say, expect to start feeling more pain at the pump! A sharp increase in the price of crude oil, which briefly hit $90 a barrel late Thursday in electronic trading, could start to hit consumers in their pocketbooks in the next few weeks. Among the effects:
Prices at the pump, which have been flat for two months, are expected to rise shortly, perhaps by as much as 10 cents a gallon. GasPriceWatch.com reported a rise of 7 cents in the past two days, which increased the national average to $2.80 a gallon.

EthosFR Product Usage

EthosFR Product Usage

Step 1: Get a baseline starting point for your vehicles. If you have a built in computer on your vehicle - don't trust it, our experiences have shown that it may not be accurate when it comes to generating actual miles per gallon -- calculate your mileage directly from the odometer. Don't trust what the manufacturer's sticker tells you.

Start paying attention as soon as you have ordered your product so that you have a baseline as soon as your product arrives. Having a baseline to use in evaluating your results with Ethos FR is critical. Without a true baseline, you cannot gage the percent of improvement accurately. A baseline is established by keeping a record on the amount of fuel you put into your tank and the miles that are driven between fill-ups. Why not get a small notebook to keep in the glove compartment to record your results? Here's how to begin developing your baseline.

  • Fill up your vehicle

  • Note the miles on your odometer.

  • Drive as usual over the next few days or weeks.

  • Refill your tank.

  • Note the miles on your odometer.

  • Determine the number of miles you have driven on that tank by subtracting the first mileage from your current mileage.

  • Next divide the number of miles driven by the amount of fuel you just added to your tank. Example: 235.5 miles driven - divided by 12.886 gallons pumped = 18.275 miles per gallon.

  • City miles are going to be different than highway miles - and you may want to establish a baseline for both.

  • It may take 6 to 8 FULL tanks to start to clean out your system and begin to show a steady level of results.

  • A simpler tracking mechanism can be to simply run your fuel down until your fill up light goes on. Do this several times and you will see your additional mileage.

Step 2: Have a smog/emissions test done on your vehicle especially if you are considering becoming involved with For Earth as a business. Being able to show that you had dramatic reductions in emissions becomes a powerful marketing tool.

Step 3:

  • The first tank of fuel with Ethos FR use 2 oz per 10 gallons of fuel. This is double the normal 'dose". Next tank, and every tank thereafter, use 1 oz per 10 gallons of fuel.

  • Use 1 oz per quart of oil.

  • Then each time you have your oil changed use 1 oz per quart.

  • Many users are finding that after 3 oil changes they can go 2 to 3 times as long -- or even 5 times as long without an oil change

  • To extend the life of your power steering and transmission use a one-time application of 3 oz in each.

In Canada and most other countries, gas is measured in liters rather than gallons. One gallon is equal to 3.78 liters. Therefore the correct usage of Ethos FR is roughly one ounce per every 40 liters of fuel.

New Study: Smog Poses Greater Health Risk Because of Global Warming
More Bad Air Days for Southern, Eastern U.S. Cities

WASHINGTON, DC (September 13, 2007) -- People living in ten mid-sized metropolitan areas are expected to experience significantly more 'red alert' air pollution days in coming years due to increasing lung-damaging smog caused by higher temperatures from global warming.
The analysis[1] was prepared by researchers at Yale, Johns Hopkins and Columbia universities, in collaboration with researchers at State University of New York at Albany, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison and released today by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
The study uses data from the 2007 journal Climatic Change, which looks at climate change, ambient ozone, and public health in U.S. cities. It was released today by NRDC and some of the nation's top medical experts.
"The air in many of our nation's cities is already unhealthy. Hotter weather means more bad air days for millions of Americans," said NRDC Climate Center’s Science Director Dan Lashof. "People with asthma are especially at risk, but everyone is adversely harmed by breathing unhealthy air. This research provides another compelling reason to establish enforceable limits on pollution."
The study, "Heat Advisory: How Global Warming Causes More Bad Air Days," projects that higher temperatures mean more smog for a given level of precursor emissions. Smog is formed when pollutants from cars, factories, and other sources mix with sunlight and heat.
On 'red alert' days -- everyone -- particularly children and people with asthma and other respiratory illnesses -- is advised to limit prolonged outdoor exertion. For people with asthma, smog pollution can increase sensitivity to allergens. The Environmental Protection Agency's blue ribbon panel of science advisers has concluded that the current ozone standard of 84 parts per billion (ppb) needs to be substantially reduced to between 60 and 70 ppb in order to protect public health.
"EPA should reduce the ozone standard to within the range recommended by its science advisers. A standard at the lower end of that range will save more lives. During warmer months high ozone levels already create breathing problems for children, elderly, and those with respiratory diseases," said Physicians for Social Responsibility's
Environment and Health Programs Dr. Director Kristen Welker-Hood. "We know that global warming will lead to higher temperatures, especially in urban areas, and as this study shows, we can expect more and more suffering related to unhealthy air the longer we wait to address global warming."
In Washington, D.C., for instance, residents would see a 24 percent drop in clean air days per summer.

The report looks at the following cities located in the eastern and southern half of the U.S.:

  • Asheville, NC
  • Cleveland, OH
  • Columbus, OH
  • Greenville, SC
  • Memphis, TN
  • Philadelphia, PA
  • Raleigh, NC
  • Virginia Beach, VA
  • Washington, DC
  • Wilmington, NC

These cities are highlighted because of their size, population and geographical differences. Federal policy makers representing these areas will be faced with critical decisions about reducing global warming emissions and it is important that they be made aware of the health implications of hotter temperatures.
Scientists say average temperatures will rise as much as 10 degrees F by the end of the century unless we start cutting global warming emissions.
Researchers project that, unless action is taken to curb global warming, by mid-century people living in a total of 50 cities in the eastern United States would see:

  • A doubling of the number of unhealthy ‘red alert’ days
  • A 68 percent (5.5 day) increase in the average number of days exceeding the current 8-hour ozone standard established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
  • A 15 percent drop in the number of summer days with “good” air quality based on U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) criteria because of global warming
Scientists say the Earth is warming faster today than at any time in history. Globally, 11 of the last 12 years rank among the 12 warmest on record since 1850. Better technology in our cars, trucks and SUVs, and cleaner, more efficient energy choices like wind and solar power will help reduce carbon emissions that cause global warming as well as smog forming emissions like nitrogen oxide (NOx) gases, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), sulfur oxide (SOx) gas and particulates.

The Natural Resources Defense Council is a national, nonprofit organization of scientists, lawyers and environmental specialists dedicated to protecting public health and the environment. Founded in 1970, NRDC has 1.2 million members and online activists, served from offices in New York, Washington, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Beijing.

For Immediate Release to the Public!!!

PLAYA DEL RACING WILL PARTNER WITH ETHOS forEARTH IN 2008

AL UNSER III TO DRIVE THE NO.21 PLAYA DEL RACING/ETHOS forEARTH CAR

9/8/2007

By Ryan J Smith - Public Relations (317.965.5006)

JOLIET, Ill. - Playa Del Racing is announcing a multi-year contract with Ethos forEARTH Corporation, and Al Unser III for an Indy Pro Series program and beyond.

Ethos forEARTH will become the primary sponsor of the Playa Del Racing Indy Pro Series car No.21 driven by Al Unser III, son of the two-time Indianapolis 500 Champion Al Unser, Jr. This multi-year contract will be a revolutionary sponsorship deal that is unprecedented in its design in motorsports history.

"Signing Al Unser III to a multi-year commitment means so much to the Playa Del Racing team," said Gary Sallee, co-owner of PDR. "We are building a program at Playa Del Racing, and Al (Unser III) is a cornerston in the foundation of our building process."

Ethos forEARTH Corporation, is a network marketing company that owns the exclusive international marketing rights for Ethos Fuel Refomulator. Ethos Fuel Reformulator is a non-petroleum based fuel additive and engine lubricant that reduces emissions, increases gas mileage, and extends vehicles engine life and performance. The product is non-toxic and 100% natural. The product has been used in millions of road miles of both commercial and passenger vehicles with documented reductions in emissions and increases in fuel mileage. Because the product improves combustion when combined with fuel, and reduces friction when introduced into the crank case, it dramatically reduces emissions reducing the introduction of hydro-carbons into the atmosphere. The product's environmental character is unique among fuel additives.

"Our marketing company currently has thousands of distributors in 16 countries from around the world that proudly represent our product," said Dan Atkinson, CEO of Ethos forEARTH. "Distributors are added every day, and each of these independent distributors will be contributing toward the sponsorship of PDR, and Al Unser III.

Therefore, each of those distributors will be a sponsor of the PDR team. This revolutionary partnership permits an independent business operator to become a sponsor of an actual racing team with only a fractional annual investment. The benefit to those distributors in brand building and brand awareness through this sponsorship initiative and the endorsement of Al Unser III, and Al Unser Jr. is enormous in assisting them in the building of their respective businesses. As we have begun to introduce the concept to our organization it has created an unbelievable energy and excitement that bodes extremely well for ours and their individual futures."

Al Unser III has signed a multi-year deal to drive for Playa Del Racing, as well as endorsing Ethos forEARTH Fuel Reformulator along with his father Al Unser, Jr.

"The Unser family is synonymous with motorsports and they will work closely with Ethos forEARTH to help promote our innovative product," said Miguel Gallimore, president of Ethos forEARTH. "I have been working with network marketing for many years and a deal like this has gone unprecedented. Our goal is to give our distributors the best possible resources to go forward in making their businesses profitable. Having the credibility of the Unser family will absolutely help our people in moving their product."

Al Unser, Jr is excited to be an endorser of Ethos forEARTH.

"I love being involved with this program," said the two-time Indianapolis 500 Champion, Al Unser, Jr. "The product that these people sell is revolutionary, and I love the idea that everyday people now have the chance to be a sponsor of a major race program. I told these guys the first time I heard about the product that I wanted to be a distributor!"

The signature of Al Unser III along with a photo of the PDR Indy Pro Series car will now appear on the new Ethos Fuel Reformulator bottle sold by distributors around the world.

"Playa Del Racing is my home now," said Al Unser III. "This team has taken me in and I can't even begin to tell you how much that means to me. I've been looking for an opportunity like this for a long time, and I look forward to building my skills in the Indy Pro Series and then taking my career to the next step with this team. ForEARTH is going to be a major part of my career now, and I can't wait to get started working with them."

This partnership will give PDR the opportunity to fund the 2008 IPS program, and possibly much more.

"The Indy Pro Series is a fabulous development series, and we look forward to building our program through the IPS in the future," said Susan Schafer, co-owner of PDR. "This partnership with forEARTH will give Playa Del Racing the opportunity to grow and give Al (Unser III) the best route to becoming a champion in open-wheel racing."

Playa Del Racing was founded in 2001, and ran the team's first race in 2005 at the Indianapolis 500. The team has continued to grow and has accumulated prestigious awards in motorsports such as the 2007 Indianapolis 500 Chase Rookie of the Year (Phil Giebler), 2007 Indianapolis 500 "Hard Charger" award (Jaques Lazier), and 2007 Fastest Rookie award (Phil Giebler).

Nascar News: Giebler returns to Playa Del racing Team!

SONOMA, Calif. - Phil Giebler will return to the Playa Del Racing car No.12 this weekend at the Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif.

Giebler returns to the seat after a three race break since his last race at Watkin's Glen, where he had two 4th places finishes that stand as PDR's best results.

"I'm really excited to get back into the Playa Del Racing/Ethos Fuel Reformulator this weekend," said Giebler. "It's been hard not being in the cars these last few weeks, but I'm ready to get in there and see what we can do. I've never raced at Infineon (Raceway), but I'm confident we can put together a good showing this weekend."

Giebler will race the usual No.12 car, but similar to the last two Indy Pro Series events the Playa Del Racing machine will not be the sky blue that adorned the PDR car for the first half of the season. Tom Wieranga will step out of his No.41 machine with Giebler and the Playa Del Racing team taking over the car for this weekend's event.

"We made a deal with Tom (Wierenga) prior to the Nashville event," said PDR co-owner, Gary Sallee. "Unfortunately, the car was involved in an accident in Nashville that almost kept us from being in Sonoma this weekend. The Guthrie Racing guys did a heck of job putting the new car together with some help from our PDR boys, and hopefully we'll get a solid result this weekend to honor their efforts."

Giebler, the 2007 Indianapolis 500 Chase Rookie of the Year, is considered a road course specialist, but has never competed in a race at the Infinion Raceway. PDR Engineer, Mike Colliver, will play a key role in preparing a car that Giebler is comfortable in racing around the 2.22 miles road course featuring several elevation changes and blind corners.

"Phil (Giebler) is an outstanding road course driver and we're all confident he will get the hang of this track pretty quickly," said Colliver. "This is a very challenging track for both the drivers and the engineers which makes for a fun weekend for everyone in the series."

You can see Phil Giebler and the rest of the Indy Pro Series driver navigate the challenging 12 turn road course all weekend on indycar.com, or you can catch the taped national broadcast on ESPN2 Thursday, August 30 at 5:30pm.

Go to playadelracing.com for more information on Phil Giebler, Al Unser III, and the rest of the Playa Del Racing crew. Race one starts are 2:45pm EST on Saturday, and race two starts at 1:20p.m. on Sunday.
